Prof. Samir K Srivastava has over two decades of experience in research, teaching and industry. He worked in various positions in industry (AV Birla Group) in technical as well as managerial roles. He was an internal facilitator for TPM implementation at Indo Gulf Corporation Limited winning the TPM Excellence Award from JIPM¸ Japan in the year 2000. Prior to joining IIM Lucknow in May 2007, he has been Associate Professor at both IMT Ghaziabad and MDI Gurgaon.  Prof. Samir has published many papers in reputed refereed academic journals. He has co-authored two books and is currently writing two more books. He also writes for popular business magazines. His work has more than two thousand citations in Google Scholar with an H-Index of 9 and about three hundred citations in Scopus with an H-Index of 5. Presently, he teaches supply chain and operations management courses to post graduate and doctoral students along with involvement in other academic and administrative activities.
